Advent - Hope

Hope (v.) To anticipate, expect, long for; to believe, desire, or trust. As we move into the season of Advent, we celebrate the expectant fullness of Christ. What we desire and know by absence, we expect and await. This week we examine hope and the despair that directs us towards hope. It is out of the darkness of humanness, the endless nagging of the unresolved, the constant presence of the partial, that we cry out. In need, we open the opportunity for rescue. In need, we prepare an entrance for the God of hope.
